With this research, it has also found that iPad is getting more popularity as the most preferred method of reading books as 41 per cent of iPad buyers prefer reading books on their iPad. It has beaten print, which was preferred by 36 per cent of those polled.

Among the owners, 24 per cent voted iPad as their primary entertainment device. It seems that iPad will soon become a favorite gaming device as 37 per cent said that they prefer their iPad for gaming than any other electric options.

However, iPad is yet to become the most preferred device for internet browsing as 55 per cent of iPad owners still prefer laptop or desktop PC for surfing the web. However, it could able to beat the mobile phone experience when it came to UK owners’ first choice for web browsing.

The funniest thing was that 27 per cent don’t take iPad outside of the home. Only 5 per cent of those asked questions said they always left home with their iPads whereas 35 per cent said that they rarely took the device out with them.

The survey also found that 31 per cent said they preferred reading electronic versions of magazines and newspapers on their iPad while 26 per cent consumer use laptop or desktop for reading matter. Almost a quarter (24 per cent) said they preferred the traditional versions.
