PC World wrote:

Eller noted that in 2007, the top four smartphone makers sold about 65 percent of the phones, according to Gartner. By next year, TownHall expects the top four will account for nearly 90 percent of smartphone sales, leaving only 10 percent for other manufacturers and new entrants. The top four will be Nokia, Research In Motion, Apple and HTC, TownHall predicts.

So, we will have to wait with interest about the performance of Google in new year.

Chitika has done a study from the searches carried out in the websites of blogs in which Chitika Ads are displayed. Everyone knows that Google is the most popular search Engine in the world. In the recent weeks, Microsoft is trying to gain some market share with its new search engine called Bing. Chitika study found that among Linux users, nearly 95% people like Google.

From Chitika Blog:

Sure, Google dominates search across all categories, but what’s surprising is that a whopping 94.61% of all Linux search traffic was from Google, compared with 78.54% of Windows user searches. Compare that with Microsoft’s new “decision engine” Bing, which is holding steady at about 8% of Windows users, but is getting practically no use whatsoever by Linux users – just 0.77% of Linux searches were from Bing. Even Ask.com outdoes Bing for Linux users.

I am not much surprised with the result. In fact, what I think is that Google has an amazing way of finding accurate result. I have noticed it a lot.

Of course, at this moment its market share is very low and people are liking it. Google is promoting the idea is that Chrome is fast and it is also doing well in matter of material security. Now, Microsoft is becoming annoyed with this matter and Microsoft is trying to convince the European Commission about not giving chrome into windows. You know that Google search engine is the most popular search engine in the world but until last year, do not have any browser. In the browser industry Microsoft is still ruling and now it seems that Google wants to become the top player in this field too.
