Taiwanese automaker Acer has introduced TravelMate Timeline series laptops for mobile business users. It offers some features which would attract those who travel a lot for their works and need to work while on the go. It is not for basic computing or high end users; rather it is for the business users who would like to carry a light weight laptop while traveling. This new line of laptops from Acer includes 8571, 8471 and 8371 models.

The laptops offer 13.3, 14.1 and 15.6 inches displays and provide Intel Core 2 dual core processors with clock speeds ranging from 1.3 GHz to 1.4 GHz. Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 4500MHD is available in all these three models as integrated graphics. You can also find memory of 3GB or 4GB available in these laptops. With a weight of 3.5 pounds, Acer TravelMate Timeline Series laptops offer excellent portability. Moreover, these models also support Wi-Fi and Bluetooth for communication. Prices for the TravelMate Timeline series laptops range from $899 to $999.

Acer TravelMate Timeline Series laptops actually fall in the ultra thin laptop segment where the target customers are mainly mobile users who need to work a lot while traveling. I would not say that these TravelMate Timeline series laptops are best in ultra thin segment in terms of features, but there is no doubt, these three models from Acer are attractive in terms of the combination of features and pricing.
