Toshiba Mini NB205: Best 10-inch Netbook of All Time?
Netbook has become a latest craze in laptop world. Two things that are working in favor of netbook are: low price as well as portability. Netbook are much more comfortable than a standard laptop when it comes to portability. Starting from OLPC, many laptop makers including Asus, Acer, Dell, HP, Lenovo stepped into netbook market in order to grab a chunk of share of the fastest-growing netbook market.
Compared to the above mentioned netbook makers, Toshiba has made a late arrival in the netbook market. However, it has been reported that Toshiba’s Mini NB205 could be the best ever 10-inch netbook that has recently come into the market. The most attractive feature of Toshiba NB205 is its battery life of 8.5 hours which rare for a 10-inch laptop.
Another attractive feature of Toshiba Mini NB205 is its large keyboard and touchpad. Powered by Intel Atom N280 processor, the netbook comes with a 10.1 inch display as well as 160GB storage capacity. The system also features 1GB RAM which could be increased up to 2 GB RAM. It runs on Windows XP home edition operating system.
I think, it would be a perfect machine for those who would like to have a quality system while on the go without feeling the extra weight. 10-inch screen is pretty much understandable because the whole system is available only for $399 which is very much affordable. There is no doubt that this is an attractive package, but I do not think this is the best ever netbook available in the market.
