  • Difference between Netbook and Notebook Decreasing Very Fast

You do not need to be a computer analyst to understand why netbook selling is increasing very fast around the world. Most of the PC users just look for general functions in their computers like word processing, web surfing as well as listening music or watching movies. All these are pretty much available in a netbook which is much more comfortable to carry and handle when you are on the go.

So, it is pretty much understandable that most of the general users, except the high-end users, are less likely to find any difference between a typical netbook and a standard notebook. There was a time when you could find significant different between a notebook and a netbook, on the basis of the features and performance.

With quick technological advancement in this field, however, the difference between the two peers is getting closer day by day. For example, you can find 14 or 15 inch display in some netbooks without compromising on its portability. Moreover, some companies are offering standard laptop or notebook in the price range of a netbook, and thus, overlapping the core features of a netbook and a notebook.

Battery life is another very important thing and I can see that battery life in the netbooks is increasing gradually. I was really shocked to know that some notebooks with blu-ray drive is also offering in the typical price range of a netbook. The advancement has been possible because many laptop makers have stepped into ever-increasing netbook market and looking for a larger chunk of share in this market. Naturally, the competition in netbook market has also been increased over the last couple of years and it is expected that the competition among the laptop makers would continue to grow in the years to come.
