HP has recently unveiled ProBook S-series laptops, targeting the business users. These are the midrange laptops, combining features of both business class as well as consumer class. HP launched three ProBook S-series laptops including 14-inch, 15.6-inch and 17.3-inch display screens. Users can choose between Intel Core 2 Duo or AMD processors. ProBook 4410s and 4415s are both 14-inch models, but could be differentiated by processors, while 4510s and 4515s feature either 15.6-inch or 17.3-inch and these two can also be differentiated by the processors. 4710s features 17.3-inch display with integrated numeric keypads. All the laptops run on Windows Vista, but you can choose Windows XP too as well as SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop of Novell.

ProBook S-series line up falls in between low-end Compaq and high-end EliteBook lines of laptops. ProBook S-series laptop price starts at $529, but still offers business class features for those who are looking for improved features, but can not afford to pay as much as EliteBook charges.
