Two Indian Students Launched Virtual Computer

You may have come across the term virtual reality, a technology that creates computer assisted environment which is not real but seems to be real. But virtual computer? I guess, you may not be acquainted with this term. However, today I have come across the term Virtual reality and it caught my attention. Two Indian engineering students, K Ansar and PP Ismail have taken an initiative to create a virtual computer. In fact, they have already created primary version of a virtual computer and they want to financial support to standardize this project. They launched a website www.bloxtr.com, where you can find your virtual computer.

You have to become a member of website, which is easy and free of cost. Then you just need to log in the website in order to use your virtual computer where you can enjoy computing. You can store document, audio and video files, use office tools and play games. You can access to this virtual computer from anywhere in the world.

Economic Times reported:

"The idea is that no one needs to carry a laptop or pen drive around. You can upload any files to the website and access it from any corner of the world. What you need is just an interface to access the internet," Ansar told IANS.
Ansar and Ismail are fans of Richard Stallman, the free software guru, and they are also keen on popularising the prowess of open source software.
Ismail said bloxtr is just a project and doesn't yet have the speed and features of professional applications. They are hoping for investment by corporate firms for the further development of their prototype.

It is undoubtedly an interesting idea which could be very effective for many people. However, the site needs to be developed further. I hope, the two students will get financial help from corporate houses or universities in this regard and continue this project.
